6 Days Morocco Atlantic Coast Tour
Day 1: Marrakech – Tizin-Test – Taroudant
Departure from Marrakech to Taroudant via a narrow road. The road introduces us from here in the valley of the Oued N’Fis, cradle of the Almohads (North African Berber empire that dominated the Muslim Spain in the last decades of century XII). The last 15 km will be in ascension where we will touch the highest point of the mountain of Tizi-n-Test, to 2,100 meters. There is a breathtaking view over the desert and a descent almost stairway to Taroudant, a beautiful fortified settlement. After that, You will spend the night in the Hotel.
Day 2: Taroudant – Tafraout
We will cross a region of argans and olive groves to arrive at Anti Atlas. A copper production center that negotiated for centuries with the Saharan caravans. Succession of mineral and desert landscapes, with terraces of almond trees in full bloom as of February.
Day 3: Tafraout – Agadir
In this day we will cross the port of Tizi Kerdous (1100 m) where a stop is necessary. to see the extraordinary views towards the Ocean and Anti Atlas. Then descend to Tiznit, a small town with a very colorful market. Then continue along a coastal road to Agadir. Free time to visit the historic center. Night at Hotel.
Day 4: Agadir -Taghazout – Essaouira
Following the road, we will arrive at extensive argan forests, full of herds of goats. Short walk through Sidi Kaouki, small fishing village, weather permitting. A 1/2 hour walk to the left of the village, bordering the coast, is a magnificent wild beach where to bathe. Then we arrive in Essaouira. In the afternoon, visit the old Mogador and its walls. Overnight at hotel.
Day 5: Essaouira – Mogador
Free morning in Essaouira to stroll, shop, relax, soak in the medina, along the ramparts and by the port. In the medina of Mogador work and expose numerous artists. Night hotel.
Day 6: Essaouira – Marrakech
In the morning a quiet return to Marrakech via the arabofon villages. We will go along a road that crosses the whole plain of Marrakech (Haouz). Amazing area: very green argan trees decorated with goats that eat the argan leaves. Then we will go through Chichaoua. Arrival to the red city. Night at hotel.
